It's seems that WhatsApp is never out of the Tech news these days.
Jan Koum, the CEO of WhatsApp, today announced their App will jump into Voice services in direct competition with the likes of BBM and Line.
There are no details on when the voice service will arrive for WhatsApp, however Koum did confirm it will arrive for Android and iOS first, followed by support for some Blackberry and Nokia devices.
WhatsApp are notoriously tight-lipped on their user count but Koum also confirmed they now have 465 million monthly active users and 330m of those use WhatsApp on a daily basis.
According to Wikipedia, WhatsApp was founded five years ago today, 24 February 2009 -- also Jan Koum's birthday :-)
Alas still no hint of a tablet version of WhatsApp.
