At the launch of the iPhone 5S and 5C the UK mobile network O2 was missing from the list for 4G connectivity.

O2 were quick to point out that an update was coming for the phone to resolve this. Today the update arrived.

If you have an iPhone 5S or 5C on the O2 network you will need to update your settings. O2 have a page describing the process but in essence either connect the phone to your computer and iTunes, or click Settings, General, About to update.

Although your device will now be 4G ready, O2 currently have only eight cities live with 4G service.

O2 will credit your next bill with £5 if you took out a new contract for the iPhone 5S or 5C
