google nexus 10Today Google made several announcements regarding the Nexus brand.

The device is now available in the three sizes -- the more traditional 4.7inch smart phone, the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 (new to the range).

The Nexus 4 (smart phone) is developed in conjunction with LG.  It has a quad-core processor, a 4.7" (320 ppi) display, and with wireless charging.

The Nexus 7 has been refreshed and comes with 16 or 32GB with the option of  HSPA+ mobile data on the 32GB model.

The much-anticipated Nexus 10 has a high-resolution  2560 x 1600 (300ppi) 10 inch display, a large battery giving nine hours of video playback and more than 500 hours of standby time, a set of front-facing stereo speakers, a 5MP (main) and 1.9MP (front) camera.  Available in 16 or 32 GB.

The new range all run Android JellyBean 4.2 which includes, for the first time, user profiles to allow you to switch users from the lock screen.

  • Nexus 4: from 13 November on the Google Play store in  UK (£279 unlocked), USA, Australia, France, Germany, Spain and Canada.
  • Nexus 7: available now on the Google Play store in the UK (£159 & £199), USA, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan.
  • Nexus 7 mobile data: as per the Nexus 4. £239 in the UK, unlocked.
  • Nexus 10: again, as per the Nexus 4. £319 & £389 in the UK  from Google Play
